Good design is not decoration and it is not taste. It is a set of decisions about hierarchy, restraint, and legibility that either hold up under real content or quietly fall apart.
The advantage here is unusual: the person making those decisions has spent ten years on corporate and retail design and also writes the code the design has to run inside. So the work accounts for the things that actually break interfaces. The empty state. The name three times longer than the placeholder. The contrast ratio nobody checked. The font that has to load before the layout settles.
